Get your free estimateThe Cold Harbour Heating and Air San Diego Guarantee
We’ve been repairing and installing heating and cooling systems in San Diego since 2003, so we’ve had more than two decades to figure out what a guarantee should actually look like. Here’s what we landed on: every repair we make carries a written 365-Day Done Right Promise. If that repair fails at any point in the year after we leave your home, we come back and fix it at no charge. Not a discounted service call. No arguing about whether it’s covered. You get it in writing before our technician walks out the door, and that paper is the whole agreement. That’s the standard Victor Mancini set when he started Cold Harbour, and it’s the same standard we hold to on every single job in San Diego today.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair for 365 days. If the repair we performed fails within that full year, we return and correct the work at no charge, and that promise is written down before the technician leaves your home.
- Written, upfront pricing before any work begins. The price you’re handed before a single tool comes out is the price you pay, and it doesn’t change at the door.
- A written guarantee on paper, not a verbal promise. Every repair includes a physical written guarantee valid for 365 days, so you never have to take anyone’s word for it.
- Free second visit if a repair fails inside the guarantee window. We come back, diagnose what went wrong, and make it right without charging you another dime.
- Cleanup after every job. We leave your home cleaner than we found it. Drop cloths go down before work starts, and the work area is swept and cleared before we leave.
- Respect for your time and your home. We show up in the window we give you, in a marked vehicle, wearing a uniform and carrying identification so you know exactly who’s at your door.
- Technicians trained on nine major brands. Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. The technician who arrives can work on whatever system is already in your home, not just the one we’d prefer to sell you.

Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how we handle a problem, because every company says they’ll make things right and far too few actually spell out the process. If you’re not satisfied with a repair, you call us at (619) 793-3598. A live person answers, day or night, every day of the year. You tell us what’s wrong. We schedule a return visit at a time that works for you, not just whenever we happen to have an opening. A technician comes back, looks at the repair, and if it failed within the 365-day guarantee window, the fix is done at no charge. If it’s a different problem entirely, you get a written price before any work starts, same as the first visit. There’s no fine print about what counts as a “valid” claim. The guarantee is written in plain language on paper you keep, and it covers the workmanship of the repair we performed. That’s it. That’s the whole promise, and it’s been the same since our first year in business serving San Diego homeowners.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Paper promises matter, but they only mean something if the company behind them is actually solvent, stable, and accountable. We’re state-licensed and insured & bonded, which means the work we do in your San Diego home is backed by real, verifiable credentials, not just a confident handshake. Insurance protects you if something unexpected happens on your property. Licensing means our technicians have passed the trade, safety, and code requirements California demands. And because Cold Harbour Heating and Air operates as an independently owned and operated member of the Kingswell network, every job follows The Kingswell Way: say the price before the work, show up in the window given, leave the place cleaner than found, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. Victor Mancini, our owner and lead HVAC technician, signs off on that standard personally.
How the 365-Day Done Right Promise Actually Works
Let’s walk through it, because “guarantee” is a word that gets thrown around loosely in our trade. Say we replace a failed blower motor in your furnace in Clairemont. The technician finishes the job, hands you a written guarantee dated that day, valid for 365 days. In month seven, the same blower motor starts making a grinding noise. You call us. We’re not going to tell you it’s normal wear and tear or that the guarantee only covered certain parts. If the repair we performed didn’t hold, we come back and correct it at no charge. No diagnostic fee. No trip charge. No fine print. If it turns out to be an unrelated component that failed independently, we’ll tell you that honestly, show you what’s going on, and hand you a written price before any additional work begins. You’re never locked into anything you didn’t approve in writing first.

AfterWhy We Put It in Writing
Verbal promises are worthless the moment there’s a dispute, and we’d rather avoid disputes entirely. A written guarantee removes the ambiguity. You know exactly what’s covered, for exactly how long, and what we’ll do about it if something goes wrong. That document is yours to keep. We also write down the price before work starts, every time, on every job, from a capacitor swap in a Mira Mesa condo to a full AC installation in a Point Loma single-family home. The Kingswell Way was built on this principle from the start: no ambiguity, no door-knock price changes, no “we’ll see how it goes” pricing. The number you approve is the number you pay. That’s been true since our first day serving San Diego in 2003, and it’s not changing.
What the Guarantee Covers on a New AC Installation
Installing a new air conditioning system in San Diego is a bigger project than a repair, and the guarantee structure reflects that. Every new AC installation from Cold Harbour Heating and Air includes a written workmanship guarantee that covers our labor on that install. Manufacturer warranties on the equipment itself vary by brand and model, and we’ll walk you through exactly what each one covers before you commit, so there are no surprises if a compressor fails in year six and you want to know who’s responsible. We service Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard systems, which means we’re familiar with how each manufacturer handles warranty claims and we’ll help you file one if it ever comes to that. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to installation workmanship as well, stated in writing before the job closes out.
What Happens If a Part Fails After the Guarantee Window
Honest answer: after 365 days from the repair date, the written workmanship guarantee has expired, and a new repair would be quoted at our standard written-upfront pricing. That’s the line we draw because it’s the line we’ve always drawn, and it’s printed on the document you keep. But we’d rather keep you as a customer for twenty years than nickel-and-dime you on a return trip, so we’ll always show up, assess the system, and give you a straight answer about what failed and why. If a part was defective from the manufacturer, we’ll help you pursue that with the brand’s warranty, even if our labor guarantee window has passed. The goal is the same in year one and year ten: a working system, a fair price, and a homeowner who isn’t guessing.
Common Questions About Our Guarantee
How long does the guarantee last?
Every repair we perform in San Diego is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise. The clock starts the day the technician completes the work, and the guarantee is handed to you in writing before we leave your home. If the repair fails at any point in those 365 days, we return and correct the work at no charge to you.
Is the guarantee really in writing?
Yes, and that’s the whole point. Every repair includes a written guarantee on paper, not a verbal assurance. You’ll have the document in hand, with the date, the work performed, and the 365-day coverage stated clearly. If there’s ever a dispute, the paper settles it.
What if I’m not happy with the work for a reason that isn’t a failure?
Call us at (619) 793-3598 and tell us what’s bothering you. If the repair didn’t hold, it’s covered under the guarantee. If it’s something else, like the work area wasn’t cleaned to your standard, we’ll make that right too. A live person answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you’ll never reach a voicemail box when you have a problem.
Does the guarantee apply to furnaces as well as AC systems?
Furnace repair in San Diego gets the exact same 365-Day Done Right Promise as air conditioning repair. The written guarantee, the upfront pricing, the cleanup standard, the trained technician, all of it applies whether we’re fixing a gas furnace heat exchanger, a blower motor, or an AC compressor.
What should I do if I think my repair failed?
Call (619) 793-3598 right away. Describe what you’re seeing or hearing. We’ll schedule a return visit, and if the repair failed within the 365-day window, the correction is done at no charge. There’s no reason to wait, and no reason to live with a struggling system when the fix is covered.
